About Me!

Joy is a master's student at the University of Victoria beginning her second year in September 2025, expecting to finish in August 2026. Her thesis will explore a recently developed mathematical object called constant covers. These objects were first introduced in the 2024 paper Six Permutation Patterns Force Quasirandomness. Beyond her research, Joy is a co-founder of the queer math group Q-Space which aims to build community among queer math-involved people at the University of Victoria.
